Meet our Benton Team

Loretta is the highly focused leader of our Benton team. She brings more than 32 years of experience in long-term care to her role as administrator at Helia Healthcare of Benton. Loretta knows what it takes to run a skilled nursing facility: in addition to serving as an administrator, she has worked as a cook, activities director and social services director.

The long-term care field is a natural fit for her, Loretta says. “I have always had a passion for helping others, and I have always loved interacting with the elderly—working in long-term care gives me the opportunity to do both.”

When she’s not at our Benton facility, Loretta is likely to be found doting on her loved ones.

“I LOVE my two grandchildren,” she says. “And I love cooking for and spending time with my family and friends.”

Ashley began her journey with Helia Healthcare almost 14 years ago. She worked for the first 13.5 years at our sister facility, Helia Healthcare Of West Frankfort. During her time there, Ashley worked as a CNA, CNA Supervisor, Housekeeper, Dietary Aide, Activity Director, and lastly Social Service & Admissions Director. Recently Ashley made the change and transferred to our facility here at Helia Healthcare of Benton in June of 2021. She started as the Social Service Director and has now moved on to being our Business Office Manager.

Ashley states that some of the best part of working in long term care is “Getting to know the residents & Families and building that personal relationship with each one of them”, as well as “Getting to work with and build a bond with all of the employees.”

Ashley states that this quote is something that makes her strive to be a better person & worker. “They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel”.

Ashley is a mother of two boys, Brantley, age 7, and Madden, age 4.5. Ashley and her fiancé Craig also take care of her 10 year old nephew Carson. In Ashley’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her children, nephew and fiancé Craig relaxing at home, doing random weekend adventures periodically and attending any extra curricular events that the children are involved in.
