As the Community Liaison Amanda Marks provides comfort and peace of mind to guests and families as they make the tough decision on where to receive care for a loved one.
She has spent 19 years in the long-term care industry in various role including Certified Nursing Assistant, Scheduling Specialist and Guest Service Coordinator.
“Growing up in this setting I always knew geriatric care is where my heart was,” Amanda states. She has been at Helia Healthcare of Olney for 3 years. She is an active member of the Alzheimer Association and sits on the Advisory Committee for Home Services at Carle RMH.
“I love being the smiling face and positive voice for families after a hospital stay,” Amanda says. “Bringing joy to their lives and hope for a fast recovery is always my goal. It is a pleasure sharing our warm, quality upscale living environment.”
When she is not at the facility Amanda enjoys spending time with her two children and family. They can be found crafting, playing games and cooking together.
