Melissa “Missy” Kanizer is our Admissions Director. She oversees the referral process from start to finish, working with Hospitals, Physicians, Families, and of course the most important, our Residents. “It is never an easy decision to choose a Skilled Nursing Facility, I believe that knowledge is power. My goal is to help make you and your family aware of what is going to happen during this process so that you can make informed decisions comfortably.”

Melissa has several years of experience working in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing having started as an evening receptionist when she was still in High School. Melissa went on to work as a CNA in Indiana, and after taking some time off to start her family she joined the Team at Evergreen and found her home. Melissa has spent the last 14 years working in the Social Service Department and Admissions at Evergreen. “I love the setting! You can learn so much from our residents and it warms my heart to sit and talk with them.” When Melissa leaves for the day she spends her time with her three “almost” adult children and her husband of 25 years.
